New electronic consular application system introduced

As part of our Service Improvement Plan, we have launched an electronic consular application processing system. The system will facilitate the efficient application and processing of Visas and Passports, and manage Registration of Ghanaian Citizens, resident in Spain.

These easy-to-use and secure electronic forms, have built-in data validation functions, designed to reduce errors and omissions during the application process. Additionally, each form displays clear and concise guidance notes / instructions, on how to complete the application form.

The new consular services system will notify applicants on the receipt of submitted applications, and also keep them informed throughout the application process. Key notifications include;

  • An email sent to the applicant, when an application is successfully received by the Embassy;
  • An e-mail to confirm payment, when the signed application is handed in at the Embassy.
  • Status notifications, e-mailed to the applicant at each stage of the application process, up until the Visa or Passport is ready for collection.
